Woodside Clinic in Kenya
Woodside Clinic in Kenya
Woodside Clinic is to provide osteopathy and physiotherapy to the Kenyan national team whilst they are preparing for the All Africa Games.
Woodside Clinic has been designated as the official provider for the Kenyan National Athletics Team whilst they prepare for the All Africa Games 2011. This is a world first, where an outside clinic has been used by the Kenyan team.
The All Africa Games 2011, to be held in Maputo (Mozambique), is a prestigious event for athletes all over Africa. For many countries, including Kenya, these games will be used as a qualifying event for the athletes for the 2012 Olympics.
Osteopath and clinic director Pratik Visaria, and physiotherapists Zoe Benn and Lucy Baker, are flying out to Nairobi for the two week training camp. The camp, to be held in August, will be attended by over 200 Kenyan athletes. Pratik, Zoe and Lucy will be looking after the athletes, treating and preventing injuries.
